一、教材内容分析
本课时的教学内容为restaurant, post office, bank, grocery, crossroads等表示场所和地理位置的词汇;以及across from, next to, between等表示方位的词汇。
二、学生情况分析
四年级的学生通过三年半时间的英语学习,已经具备一定的学习英语的能力,也具备了一定的英语知识储备,为这节课的顺利学习打下了一定的基础。比如他们在二年级上册的第四单元学习过场所词汇,为这节课学习课程打下了基础。他们还学习了功能句:Where is the …? It’s … 都为这节课教学顺利开展打下基础。
三、教学目标
通过本节课的学习,学生能够达到以下目标:
1. 能够听懂、会说 restaurant, post office, bank, grocery, crossroads等表示场所和地理位置的词汇;以及across from, next to, between 等表示方位的词汇;能够根据语境恰当使用,并能借助拼读规律认读和识记生词。
2. 能够询问并描述某个场所在什么位置。
3. 能够根据语境,选择本课所学词汇将句子补充完整,并且做到书写规范。
四、教学重难点
1.教学重点:能够听懂、会说restaurant, post office, bank, grocery, crossroads等表示场所和地理位置的词汇;以及across from, next to, between等表示方位的词汇。
2.教学难点:Restaurant的读音及描述某个场所在什么位置。
五、教学步骤
1. 热身(唱一唱)。
T: Good morning, boys and girls.
Ss: Good morning, Miss Fan.
T: Let’s sing a song. Bill is in the bookshop. Lily is at the zoo.
Ss: Yes!
T: Let’s begin.(点击课件,随着音乐师生同唱同做动作)
设计意图:师生同唱星期歌曲,既复习了星期的单词,也让孩子们很快进入学习英语的状态之中。
T: Look at the picture.(点击课件)We can a restaurant, a bank, a grocery, a hospital, a bookshop, a … (教师边指图片边引导学生用学过的英语表达)

设计意图:教师从整体入手。让学生对所学知识先有一个整体概念。
2. 学习(学一学,练一练)。
(1)单词教学
①教学restaurant
T: Guess: When we are hungry, we can eat or drink there. What place is it?
Ss: 饭馆。
T: Yes. It’s a restaurant. Restaurant.
Ss: restaurant.
T: Please pay attention to the red letter: e and a. e says …? says …?
Ss: e says /e/, says / eɪ/ (学生看课件或者听教师发音,可以回答)
T: What can we do in the restaurant?
Ss: We can eat or drink.
T: What’s your favorite restaurant? Why?
S1: My favorite restaurant is … Because …

设计意图:将所学知识和学生生活有机结合起来,一方面增强学生综合语言运用能力,另外一个方面让学生将所学知识有机整合起来,表述生活中自己的喜好及其理由。
②教学post office
T: Guess: We can send a letter there. We can buy stamps there. What place is it?
Ss: 邮局。(有的学生根据部分单词可以猜测出)
T: Yes, it’s a post office. post office.
Ss: post office.
T: Please pay attention to the letter o. What does the first o say? What does the second o say?
Ss: The first o says /əʊ/, the second o says /ɔː/.
T: OK. What can we do in the post office?
S: We can …
设计意图:激活学生已有的知识和生活经验。
③教学bank
T: Guess: We can get money or save(储存)money there. What place is it?
Ss: 银行。
T: Yes. It’s a bank. Bank.
Ss: bank.
T: The a says /æ/, /æ/, /æ/, bank.
Ss: /æ/, /æ/, /æ/, bank.
T: What can we do in the bank?
Ss: We can save money.

T: What banks do you know?

设计意图:引导学生平时要关注生活中的英语。并将生活中所见英语和学习的单词结合起来记忆。
④教学grocery
T: Guess: We can buy apples and bananas there. We can also buy orange juice and other drinks there. What place is it?
Ss: 商店。

⑤教学across from
T: Look. The Chinese book is across from the English book.(教师手中拿语文和英语书做例子,边说边做动作)You are across from me. What’s the meaning of across from?
